A RIPPA Plunge Pool is a Relocatable Pool and as such a building permit for the pool may not be required in your area. Check with your local Certifier or Council.
A Building Permit is generally required for safety barriers. Pool safety barriers must comply with AS1926.1-2012 and have have a self-latching and self-closing gate.
In most cases a 150mm thick concrete with SL72 mesh and 200mm wider than the pool diameter will suffice.
For sloping blocks some people commission a tank stand to be engineered and built.
Yes. However, our recommendation is that you stick to fresh water. A salt pool is simply a chlorine pool that uses electrolysis to converts the salt into chlorine. With our pool the UV sanitiser is all that is required plus a little bit of sanitiser every so often.
For firefighting purposes you absolutely can use an RIPPA Plunge Pool instead of a traditional tank. In fact this is often a better solution as you maintain the correct water volume due to the filtration requirements. So if you’re ever audited then you can rest assured the volume of the Static Water Source is correct.
Our pools range from 1.2m to 1.6m in height.
Note: measurements are taken from the top of the ring to the ground. Some sizes they are slightly lower by 30mm due to the way corrugation connects to the ring.
Unfortunately no, for this type of pool the round is the only option. A straight edge pools such has square or rectangle once filled will bulge on the straight sides due to the pressure.
We do. If you have a very specific landscape you’re trying to fit into or have an interesting project requirements we can customise sizes to suit. Please contact us directly to discuss.
316 Stainless Steel. Uses for type 316 stainless steel include in the construction of heat exchangers, jet engine parts, pharmaceutical and photographic equipment, chemical processing equipment, tanks, evaporators…and now pools.
If the pool is in full sun during the summer, the water will heat up regardless of the stainless wall. We offer an optional reverse cycle heat pump that will cool the water to your desired temperature for hotter climates, and warm the water during colder periods.
Unfortunately no. It is a complete solution. There are a few reasons for this. Firstly, we have spent a lot of resources developing our pools to the best they can be. The pre plumbed nature, fully relocatable, freshwater system, 30min install are all features that make this product what it is. As a benefit of all these features it makes permits simpler, warranties better, maintenance easier, and installation cheaper.
Most of our customers do! Water is an excellent absorber of the sun’s energy and it passes through the transparent blanket to heat your pool water up to 8ºC warmer. For leaves and debris we suggest a cover to cover these.
We sure do! We offer a reverse-cycle swimming pool heat pump as an optional addition to your pool. The units we supply are exceptionally energy-efficient, giving back up to six times the energy they consume.
We offer a multicolour LED pool light. One light is sufficient for up to a 3.4 metre pool.
Our lead time is typically 12 weeks, however, the current demand is very high and that tends to push out the completion dates. All orders are on a first-in basis and we allocate the final manufacturing slot when we receive your production deposit (75% of the total pool cost).
As for cleaning we suggest a microfiber scrubber simular to whats used for car cleaning. The waterline is the most troublesome as it collects oils like every other pool. The rest of the pool wall is fairly self managed due to the freshwater UV and stainless steel combination.
Yes. Some Hydrotherapy chemicals can be added to the water. We recommend Boric Acid by Bioguard.
Yes, certification and council approval is required for any pool in Australia. Documentation differs from state to state and you will be required to complete this. It can be put through the council directly or through a private certifier.
All states and territories have their own unique interpretations of the Australian Standard (AS1926.1-2012) with regards to pool fencing, therefore it will be your responsibility to ensure that the pool (fence or no fence) complies with your local council requirements.

Rarely. About 1 out of 100 deliveries require a crane. In most situations we can take the pool down the side of the house, over carports, through neighbours yards, and even over multiple fences. The largest pool shell weighs no more than 180kg.
We recommend generally that you place your pool 100mm SL72 slab or for complex sites an engineered concrete slab or tank stand. Your landscaper or builder will be able to organise, engineer and certify the best option for your site.
For more information about base preparation please visit our installation page.
Essentially yes. As our pool are intentionally relocatable a retaining wall will be necessary to keep damp soil 20-30cm away from the pool exterior. Also, it’s important to maintain adequate drainage.
Yes. For a mild slope, you could excavate and retain a section to create a level area suitable for a concrete slab. For a significant slope or elevated position, or to meet an existing deck height, perhaps an engineered steel support frame is the ideal option.
Only as far a the pool comes mostly pre-plumbed. It will be your responsibility to glue the pipe that connects the pool to the equipment and finish off the liner. In some cases our delivery partners can provide this service on the day. We work with owners, builders and project managers to ensure the success of your project from a design and implementation perspective. Many of our clients manage the project themselves, and others prefer to outsource the details to a qualified landscaper, builder, or pool plumber.
Your electrician needs to supply 240VAC 10A circuits to power the sanitation system, and lighting. Up to three GPOs are preferable. If you’ve specified a heat pump, your electrician will also need to supply a dedicated 240VAC 15A circuit. In every case, your electrician will also need to ensure the container is properly earthed.
Yes. We provide an earthing tab and a qualified Electrician will need to ensure the shell is properly earthed.
